How nutritious is goat milk?

Head to head compared with cows milk, goats milk fares better in a few categories. Higher in vitamin A, magnesium, potassium, calcium, goats milk lacks mainly in B vitamins, namely B 12 and B 2. Fat and calories are comparable, and both are available in low fat or skim options.

I made a very complex chart in 'word' and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to insert it in Blogger. iPhone saves the day and all the oodles of time I spent creating this chart.

A big advantage to goats milk is digestibility. Less lactose overall and smaller fat particle size make goats milk tolerable to those with sensitive stomachs.

For those who don't own goats, however, there is a major drawback. Goats milk costs on average $4-6 per quart or $16-$24 a gallon. A far cry from the $2.99 gallon of cows milk we're all accustomed to.

So eat up girls! No, we aren't going to start selling milk to strike it rich, its a lot more complicated than that.
